Girl Rising is a global campaign for girls' education and empowerment. It uses the power of storytelling to share the simple truth that educating girls can transform societies. Their mission is to change the way the world values the girl and ensure that girls' education is part of the mainstream conversation. Together with partners, they launch high profile campaigns to bring visibility to the issues girls face and inspire people to dismantle the barriers that hold them back. Media is a powerful way to encourage people to take action that can create real, tangible change. Inspired by Girl Rising, millions of people have been encouraged to dismantle the barriers girls face.
iLEAD hosted several girls from the Kolkata wing of Girl Rising and they were given a tour of the entire iLEAD Campus where they got a firsthand look into the infrastructure of the campus. Ranging from the auditorium to the rooftop, studio to library, they saw it all under the supervision of iLEAD staff.
