The Founder’s Day & Convocation Ceremony at iLEAD this year at the Kalamandir was one of the grandest that everyone witnessed since its inception. Right after teachers were felicitated at the beginning and few student performances got over, the Convocation ceremony begun.
Chairperson Mr. Pradip Chopra, Executive Director, Ms. Pragya Chopra, Principal, Ms. Debamitra Mitra, Chief Guest- Smt. Sunanda Mukherjee, Guest of Honour- Dr. Phanikanta Mishra, Special Guest of Honour- Mr. Bhagwandas Ahirwar, Head of Department (Academics), Dr. Sudipto Bhattacharya, Head of Department (Management Studies), Dr. Debasis Ray, Head of Department (Media Science), Dr. Soumik Gangopadhyay along with few senior faculties and the trustees wore the respective formal attire before calling upon students from outgoing batches to take the oath.
First, it was the BBA Batch of 2013-2016, known for ‘good behaviour, friendliness and unity’. After the degrees were given, Aamir Aslam was presented the award for ‘Best Overall Attendance’, while Rajeshwari Gupta and Liu Hsing Sheng Stephen were the two ‘Best Performers in Academics’.
The BMS batch of 2013-2016 came in next, who won over the mentors by virtue of their photography, filmmaking ands several other skills. From this batch, Yash Kariwal won the award for ‘Best Overall Attendance’, while Rijuta Manot emerged as the ‘Best Performer in Academics’.
At the end, it was the senior most batch- MSc. Batch of Media Science (2014-2016). The award for the ‘Best Overall Attendance’ went to Ankita Banerjee, while Adiba Kadir was presented the ‘Best Performer in Academics’ award.
But that was not the end!
This year, there were two ‘Best Contributors in Co-Curricular Activities’- Jatin Agarwal and Shubham Paul.
And as everyone had expected, ‘Student of the Year’ award went to the most popular and loved student- Chandan Sahoo.
iLEAD has always been the second home to its students. No wonder, it arranges for a lovely academic gathering every year, just to celebrate the special moments and achievements of its graduating students.
